My efforts have been aimed at explaining and emphasizing the importance of the original literary texts and the appropriate linguistic methods to eliminate corrupted parts and then to reconstruct and restore the original text while teaching the subject to M.A. and M.Phil students of the University of Delhi for almost four decades. My book “ Paathalochan : Siddhant aur Prakriya” (1967) on the subject is an attempt in this direction and is prescribed in the university syllabus of different Indian universities .
